On 25th November 2013 at 18:00pm, Thida Tavonseth, President of the United front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) had release a statement in concern over the actioned of Suthep Thaugsuban and his co-leaders which have pushed a political conflict into the current political crisis.
1. We condemned the actions of Suthep Thaugsuban, the Democrat Party, and co-leaders of the present anti-government movement which is comparable to an act of terror and treason.
2. The government has to prosecute violators of the law who led mass of people into governmental complex and managed to cut off the water and electrical supply to the government building which has impeded the duties of the state officials inside the ground.
3. These activities are amounted to an attempt to destroy the democratic system as a whole. This is not simply an attempt to bring down the “Thaksin’s Regime” or even to overthrow the elected government of the people as claimed by the anti-establishment movement.
4. It is the duty of the Thai people to resist, obstruct, and stop the attempt to destroy the country’s economy, politics, and society by Suthep Thaugsuban and his co-leaders who wanted nothing more but to slow down and reverse the political development in Thailand simply because they cannot accept the fact that they have lost through electoral and other democratic processes.
