  1. Dr. Thuan Tran, Pharm.D., J.D.

The Thai Constitution must protect and defend the integrity of a democratic election of the Yingluck’s party and her administration. Suthep Thaungsuban may disagree with Yingluck policy but he may not cause any disruption or dissolution of an otherwise elected government chosen by the Thai people. What he is doing in Bangkok violates all democratic principles and may bring the country to a civil war or amounts a coup. Suthep and his co-hort Abhijit are now indicted with criminal charges, politically speaking, they have jeopardized their political careers and they should be barred from government posts. Yingluck must stay put on her mandate to protect the Constitution and the people who elected her. I wish her the wisdom and patience and courage to face the challenges ahead.
